According to recent news postings on the Famitsu web site, Nintendo recently held a meeting to discuss the current trend of Nintendo DS software sales and its future plans for DS and Wii releases. For [[bp:Pokémon Diamond and Pearl|Pokémon Diamond and Pearl]], Nintendo has revealed that a worldwide voice-chat functionality will be built into the game, thus revealing that the upcoming games will take advantage of Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection online service.

Nintendo announced a Pokémon title for the Wii was in the works. Currently titled Pokémon Battle Revolution, it will feature connectivity with the DS titles and the same battle simulation functionality used in previous Pokémon  console titles. There is no word if Pokémon Battle Revolution has Wi-Fi connectivity as well. A screenshot of the game can be found in the first link below.
