After two years in the role, MAGNEDETH is resigning as Bulbapedia's Editor-in-Chief and assuming the new roles of Vice Webmaster and Executive Policymaker. Succeeding him will be former Deputy Editor Werdnae.

The announcement comes five years to the day since MAGNEDETH originally joined Bulbapedia. He became Editor in Chief in December 2010, and during his time in the role concentrated on improving user experience. While it was declared when MAGNEDETH assumed the role that each Editor-in-Chief would resign after two years, this rule has now been revoked. In his new role, MAGNEDETH will now join the ranks of Bulbagarden's most senior staff.

Werdnae will be MAGNEDETH's successor, after serving as his deputy since March. Werdnae has been a prolific editor and contributor to the project since joining in 2008.
