Update:  More details have been unveiled for the game. Three Trettas will come with the game: Eevee, Mewtwo, and Lucario. A fourth Tretta Pichu will come with the first printings of the game. The game will have two different version: One that has a lower tray for the Nintendo 3DS, and one that has a bigger tray for the Nintendo 3DS XL.

A downloadable app will be available when Pokémon Tretta Lab comes out called the Pokémon Tretta Lab Main System. Pokemon Tretta Lab Main System will be a free download. The main system will have three different modes. The first is called the Tretta Analyzer. With this mode, scanned Tretta's information will be displayed. The second mode is called Type Checker. With this mode, other Trettas that match the scanned Tretta can be looked up. The third mode is called Auto Battle. With this mode, opponents can be battled that are exclusive to Pokémon Tretta Lab.

Pokémon Tretta Lab has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS for Japan. It will be released Aug. 10 and cost ¥3,800, and is being developed by Marvelous AQL. Details about this game are unknown at this time. It is unknown how it will differ from the arcade version of Pokémon Tretta that is available now.

A Tretta reader device will be included with the new game. In the previous CoroCoro issue, the game was briefly mentioned as an upcoming announcement but without a name or details regarding it. It mentioned that there would be a connection between Pokémon Tretta and the Nintendo 3DS.
