From 14:00 HST (Hawaiian Standard Time) on August 12, the final matches of both the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Video Game Championships took place in Waikoloa Village Resort, Waikoloa on Hawaii island for each tier in the tournament. The winners of the Junior, Senior and Master League TCG matches are Shuto Itagaki, Chase Maloney, Igor Costa respectively. The 2012 Video Game Championship winners are Abram Burrows in the Junior Division, Toler Webb in the Senior Division and Ray Rizzo in the Master Division.

Some of the video game winners will be featured, along with their teams, in the Pokémon World Tournament feature of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. As well as this, a Pikachu with Fly was distributed to attendees of the Video Game Championships and Jun'ichi Masuda, Tsunekazu Ishihara and Shigeki Morimoto staged an autograph session for fans.

It has also been revealed that the 2013 Pokémon World Championships will be held in Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
