This article brought to you by Bulbanews, your community Pokémon newspaper.

It's a week of change for Bulbagarden. Read on for the latest updates from the original Pokémon community.

National Bulbagraphic launch

On July 15, we launched our new e-zine National Bulbagraphic. Plans for this new facet of the site have been in the pipeline for about a year now, so we're proud to finally make the first issue public. Like all other aspects of Bulbagarden, the Bulbagraphic is community-focused. If you're interested in writing a short article about absolutely anything, don't hesitate to get in touch with Bulbagraphic Managing Editor evkl.

The first issue contains six thought-provoking articles on a range of subjects:

Bulbagraphic articles are meant to be engaging, relevant, and overall interesting. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer, and we're looking forward to reading your contributions.

Bulbawiki database lock

Editors of Bulbapedia, Bulbanews, and Bulbagarden Archives will have noticed for a long time that our servers have not been up to scratch. We've apologized for this many, many times, but now we are finally able to do something about it. Starting Saturday, August 20, all of the wikis will be closed for editing. You will still be able to view content, but you will not be able to make changes. This will last until at least Tuesday, August 23.

The reason for the lockdown is to change our server setup. This should hopefully solve all of the problems we've been having. Thank you all for your patience.

Full information can be found here.

Bulbanews Article Assistant changes

We have recently updated our New Article Assistant to make it easier to submit news articles. We've removed some redundant features and added some new dropdown menus to better source our reports. The Board of Editors would like to remind everyone that supplying a source is mandatory for submitting an article—and official sources are preferred to other fan sites.

We offer a big thanks to our tech guru and former editor Zhen Lin for arranging both the (new) New Article Assistant and the Bulbapedia server upgrade.

Bulbagarden forums changes

A few changes have been made to the Bulbagarden forums over the past month or so. The forum management have made site-wide announcements for everything new so hopefully you're up-to-date. If not, check out the Announcements forum.

Specifically, we've got a new cooking forum, an upcoming change to the infraction system, updated social groups, and a new discussion topic in the Bulbagarden Outreach program.

Anyway, that's all for now. Later days!
