With Collection X, Collection Y out of the way, CoroCoro finally began advertising the upcoming Xerneas Half Deck and Yveltal Half Deck being released in Japan on Jan. 31, 2014. The two featured cards, Xerneas and Yveltal, were both previewed in full, while first being revealed by means of English promotional images for upcoming XY expansion products. These two cards will make their English release in the XY expansion only six days after their Japanese debut.
These two specific cards have already been teased for a number of upcoming English promotional merchandise items. They will be the featured cards for the XY Theme Decks to be released Feb. 5, they will have promotional reprints with new artwork released in the Xerneas and Yveltal Collections on Feb. 19, with the promotional reprints also available as Jumbo promotional cards in the Xerneas and Yveltal Boxes releasing Feb. 19 as well.
