Details for the Fairy Garden tournament have been announced. The age restrictions for the divisions have been changed. This tournament is open to all international players. Participants who record one win, loss, or tie will receive 1,000 Poké Miles. Players will be able to register between 2 p.m. JST on Sept. 18 and 8:59 a.m. JST on Sept. 26. The tournament will be held from 9 a.m. JST on Sept. 26 until 8:59 a.m. JST on Sept. 29. The results will be posted on Oct. 3.

50,000 spots are open for participants on a first-come first-serve basis. Players who were born in 2000 or later will be in the Junior Division. Players born in 1999 or earlier will be in the Master Division. It is a Single Battles format with all Fairy-type Pokémon eligible except for Xerneas and Diancie. Pokémon will be pre-set to level 30 for the competition. The Pokémon must be caught or hatched in Pokémon X and Y. Pokémon that were transferred from Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 cannot be used.

Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC. Players will have 90 seconds to choose the three Pokémon to battle with and 45 seconds to decide what to do each turn. Each battle will have a maximum time of 15 minutes. Players may only battle 10 times per day.
