PokéTeca was founded on September 1, 2008 by Habieru who wanted to start a Pokémon Wiki for the Spanish fans of the series. It was started so the fans could have to have a decent wiki. The current Editorial Staff consists of 4 Bureaucrats/Admins: Habieru, Hiro, Sumori Hose and {{bp|User:Shadow|Shadow}} and 4 Pokétecarios: Kosen, Frika, Arqui, and {{bp|User:CoolPikachu!|CoolPikachu!}}.
