Customers who bought a {{bp|Nintendo 3DS}} and connected to the {{wp|Nintendo eShop}} before the price drop were automatically entered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors program. 3DS Ambassadors were told that they were to receive 20 free Virtual Console games (10 {{wp|Nintendo Entertainment System|NES}}, 10 {{wp|Game Boy Advance|GBA}}).
