On 3rd October 2015, four British gamers will be attempting to catch as many Pokémon as possible in 36 hours, whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK. The four players will each be playing a different Generation VI game (Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire). The marathon will be starting at 9:00am BST on Saturday 3rd October until 9pm Sunday. There will be a livestream at http://www.twitch.tv/abendell/.

There will be incentives for fans to donate:

  • A donation of £1 or more allows fans to name a Pokémon of their choice.
  • A donation of £5 ($7.50 USD) allows fans to enter a ballot guessing how many Pokémon they think the players will catch. The winner will win a game with all of the Pokémon caught on.

A link to the donation page can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/pokemonmarathon. Fans may also follow the challengers on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CatchingCharityChallenge.
