During the official presentation of Pokémon Black and White that took place in London on February 10, a Spanish game guide site revealed in an interview with Mana Ibe, one of the staff members of Pokémon Black and White, denied the possibility of an eventual third version called Gray, being widely speculated to follow the two versions that will be released in Europe next March 4, 2011.
Historically, every generation has had a third version that would add innovations in comparison to the previous games, such as Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum. And when Ibe was asked about a hypothetical release of Gray version, she replies with the following:
“ No, not at all. We finished this installment with Black and White Versions. ”

If this is proven true, then this will be the first generation not to feature three main titles.
