The Pokémon Company said the figures came from Media Create, and full figures will be available later this week.

Famitsu released its own numbers through its parent company, Enterbrain, who said Platinum sold 967,675 copies in its first two days. IGN reported that Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have sold 5,571,456 copies so far.

Release dates outside of Japan have not yet been announced.
