Pokémon Chronicles, which had previously aired in Canada and the United Kingdom, will begin airing in the United States Saturday evenings in June on Cartoon Network.

The first episode, part of The Legend of Thunder!, will air 7 p.m. (EDT/PDT) June 3 as part of the Toonami programming block. The series is comprised of 22 episodes.

"With new characters, monsters and never-before seen stories, we think Pokémon Chronicles will be a great addition to the popular and long-running Pokémon franchise," said Bob Higgins, senior vice president of programming and original animation for Cartoon Network. "Our viewers will discover wondrous new aspects of the world of Pokémon as Chronicles focuses on the journeys of so many of the beloved characters from the Pokémon universe. This is a real bonus for fans who have been watching since the beginning of the series, and we're thrilled to finally bring these episodes to the U.S."

Cartoon Network recently began airing Pokémon: Advanced Challenge in its Miguzi block.
