Long-predicted "GSDS" to be released this fall

The games that everyone has predicted since Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions have finally been announced. Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version, paired as games traditionally are, will bring gamers back to the Johto region, west of Kanto, as Generation IV games.

Long predicted in the wake of their predecessors FireRed and LeafGreen, HeartGold and SoulSilver are the Johto-based games theorized to link to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum as shown by game data.

The games will be released in Japan this fall, possibly on or near November 21, 2009, the tenth anniversary of the original release of their namesakes. Their release elsewhere is as of yet unannounced.
