The update adds support for the Brazilian Portuguese language. It now also shows the player's progress toward the next tier when tapping on a medal.

Pokémon GO is the second Pokémon game to be available in Brazilian Portuguese, the first being Pokémon Trading Card Game Online (localized as Pokémon Estampas Ilustradas Online).

Pokémon GO was first made available for mobile devices on July 6, 2016 with the option to play in English, Japanese, European French, German, Italian, and European Spanish. The 0.53.2 update on January 23, 2017 added Korean language support, and the 0.60.0 update added Traditional Chinese support.

Patch notes

  • Added Brazilian Portuguese language support.
  • Tapping on a medal will now show your progress toward the next medal tier.
