CITV, who have aired the first fourteen episodes of the Pokémon: Black & White anime series since beginning the series in June, today started re-airing the series from In the Shadow of Zekrom. As the return to repeats was rather sudden, fans contacted ITV (the parent company of CITV) inquiring about the decision to start repeats so prematurely. ITV has since responded.

The company has explained that the reasoning behind starting the repeats was that the production of Pokémon: Black & White was delayed due to the Sendai earthquake and tsunami in March, and that the best time to repeat the series would be in the recently started summer holidays, as most children are expected to be away during that period. New episodes are currently scheduled to begin in September, and continue through autumn.
