Aegislash and Blastoise have been announced to be available as playable characters in Pokkén Tournament DX as part of upcoming paid downloadable content (DLC).

The DLC will be sold in a Battle Pack, which features two waves of DLC. The first wave of content will be available from 31 January 2018 and features the technical-style Battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new Support Pokémon Set including Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. The second wave will be available from 23 March 2018 and features the new Battle Pokémon Blastoise and a new Support Pokémon Set including Mew and Celebi. The Battle Pack will also include new avatar items and other unspecified content.

The Battle Pack is currently available for purchase, although the content will not be available until the aforementioned dates. It costs US$14.99 in the United States and ¥1,852 in Japan.

This DLC is only for the Nintendo Switch game Pokkén Tournament DX; it will not be available for the Wii U game Pokkén Tournament. No details have been announced for the arcade version of the game.
