A group of UK gamers aims to catch all of the original 151 Pokémon in aid of Red Nose Day.

The gamers at Nostalgic Quests have decided to catch all 151 Pokémon on the original Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow Versions in one sitting, as part of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.

Comic Relief is a UK charity which was founded in 1985 by Richard Curtis and Alexander Mendis, in response to the famine in Ethopia. The charity has since expanded to fund a wide variety of causes. Red Nose Day is Comic Relief's biennial telethon broadcast by the BBC.

The Nostalgic Quests event will commence on the 8th of March, at 1pm GMT. There will be one copy of Red, one of Blue, and two of Yellow. The aim is to obtain one of each Pokémon in one sitting, and have them all on the same cartridge. Though the Mew glitch will be used to catch the otherwise-unobtainable Mew, no other glitches will be used. Anybody donating to the cause will have the chance of winning the cartridge with all of the Pokémon on: for every pound donated, sponsors will receive one entry into the raffle to win the cartridge.

Donations can be made via JustGiving or at the event's Red Nose Day site. A live stream of the event, currently ongoing, can be viewed here.
