Bulbapedia will be down for maintenance starting Nov. 5

Bulbapedia will be temporarily closed to editing beginning Thursday 5 November. This is to allow staff members to carry out maintenance work to several sections of the encyclopedia. Specifically, there is to be a large-scale move that may stress the servers on its own. If the site's regular contributors were also to submit edits in this period, the stress might be so great that the maintenance may be unable to be completed. For this reason, no user who is not in the administrator usergroup will be able to submit any edits to any namespace.
There is no reason to be concerned about this. The move will be undertaken for the purpose of having a better, more accurate encyclopedia. Editing privileges will be returned to the users by the end of the weekend. This may happen earlier, depending on how quickly the staff are able to sort through their list of tasks.
It is advised that you do not come to the staff requesting more information about what is happening, or whether you will be able to help out. Everything is completely under control, and more about the project will be revealed during the weekend. Nonetheless, thanks for your support through this period of time.
