And uhh...that's about it. I guess it's better to look at how it's different from Pokémon in this scenario. You don't have to control the monsters, you never capture them, and pretty much everything else is different. Not even the funny stat progression applies (although it does exist in a few cases - Nidoran F and Nidorina, for example).
