With {{TCG|Collection X}}, {{TCG|Collection Y}} out of the way, CoroCoro finally began advertising the upcoming {{TCG|Xerneas Half Deck}} and {{TCG|Yveltal Half Deck}} being released in Japan on Jan. 31, 2014. The two featured cards, Xerneas and Yveltal, were both previewed in full, while first being revealed by means of English promotional images for upcoming XY expansion products. These two cards will make their English release in the {{TCG|XY}} expansion only six days after their Japanese debut.

These two specific cards have already been teased for a number of upcoming English promotional merchandise items. They will be the featured cards for the [[XY Pin Blisters, Theme Decks to be released in February|XY Theme Decks]] to be released Feb. 5, they will have promotional reprints with new artwork released in the [[Yveltal_Collection,_Xerneas_Collection_to_be_released_in_February|Xerneas and Yveltal Collections]] on Feb. 19, with the promotional reprints also available as Jumbo promotional cards in the [[Xerneas Box, Yveltal Box to be released Feb. 19|Xerneas and Yveltal Boxes]] releasing Feb. 19 as well.
