Details for the international tournament that will be featuring Legendary Pokémon have been announced. Each participant may only use up to two Legendary Pokémon in their team. Those who participate in the Battle of Legends tournament will receive 1,000 Poké Miles. Each player must record a win, loss, or tie to be able to receive the Poké Miles.

Participants may register from 12 a.m. UTC on July 17 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on July 24. The competition will run from 12 a.m. UTC on July 25 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on July 27. 50,000 spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The rankings will be announced on August 1. Participants born in 1998 or earlier will be in the Masters Division. Participants born in 1999 or later will be in the Junior Division. Junior Division players may not battle between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time.

The tournament will be a Double Battles tournament, with every Pokémon in the National Pokédex except for Diancie available for use. Pokémon brought through the Poké Transporter are allowed in this tournament. Every Pokémon will be set to level 100, and the Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC. Players may only battle 10 times per day.
