Pokémon Diamond and Pearl respectively earned the top two spots for games in Japan's console war this week, boosting Nintendo DS sales despite the recent releases of the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's own Wii. Pokémon Battle Revolution, the Wii battle simulator released this week, was the 10th highest selling game, the second-highest for a Wii game.

The DS sold 319,866 units, over double the previous week and three times the weekly average, and Wii sold 108,237 units. They were followed by rivals PlayStation 3, 70,942, PlayStation Portable, 48,962 and PlayStation 2, 37,730.

Other Wii games did not perform so well. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came in 33rd, Wii Play came in 12th, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves came in 36th and Bleach Wii came in 50th.
