English Pokémon dub gets new voice director

Tom Wayland, an American voice actor, anime producer and director, has announced via the Anime Boston Web site that he is the new voice director of the English-language Pokémon anime. Wayland will be a guest at the convention March 21-23.

According to the Anime Boston Web site, Wayland graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in acting. At Central Park Media he produced more than 200 anime series. His TripWare Productions has directed dubs including Mew Mew Power and Magical Do Re Mi, both properties of 4Kids Entertainment. Wayland has also performed in dubs such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and GI Joe Sigma Six.

No announcement has been made regarding what studio will be dubbing the 11th season of the English-language Pokémon dub. The 10th season was dubbed by TAJ Productions.
