The first three ''Pokémon'' films of the anime, ''[[M01 Mewtwo Strikes Back]]'', ''[[M02 The Power of One]]'' and ''[[M03 Spell of the Unown]]'' have undergone a remastering for a Blu-ray disc release that is set for a release date of February 9, 2016.

The limited edition Steelbook set will include a lossy 2.0 stereo track of the 4Kids dub of the movies, presented in 16:9 widescreen. The set reportedly excludes the special features from the original DVD releases of the movies from Warner Home Video. It is unknown whether or not the Pikachu shorts from all three of the movies will be retained in the set.

For those who do not have a Blu-ray player, it was also announced that the DVDs of the three movies would be reissued by Viz and Warner on February 9 for the first movie and February 16 for the second and third movies, respectively. The DVDs will also not include the special features, but will feature widescreen presentations of the movies similar to the Blu-ray set.
