For the first time ever in Region A, Viz Media, in partnership with Warner Home Video, will release the English dubs of the first three Pokémon movies on Blu-ray disc in a limited edition triple feature Steelbook pack.

The three-disc set is scheduled for release on February 9, 2016, according to Amazon.com and Blu-ray.com.

The limited edition Steelbook set will include a lossy 2.0 Stereo track of the 4Kids Entertainment dub of the movies. All three movies have been remastered in 1080p high definition transfers and will be presented in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. This is in contrast to the original Warner DVD releases, which presented the movies in 4:3 format. The set reportedly excludes the special features from the Warner DVDs, and it is unknown whether or not the Pikachu shorts from all three of the movies will be retained in the set. Unlike other Warner Home Video titles, the set is region-locked and can only be played in North American, South American, East Asian and Southeast Asian systems.

The set is available to pre-order on Amazon.com as of December 16.

For those who do not have a Blu-ray player, it was also announced that the DVDs of the three movies would be reissued by Viz and Warner on February 9 for the first movie and February 16 for the second and third movies, respectively. The DVDs will also not include the special features, but will feature widescreen presentations of the movies similar to the Blu-ray set.
