The "Fired Up! Dragon Type!" Wi-Fi competition has been announced. Players may register between 2 p.m. JST on March 12 and 8:59 a.m. JST on March 20. The competition will be held from 9 a.m. JST on March 20 and 8:59 a.m. JST on March 23. Players will use the {{bp|Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}} games. There will be 50,000 spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Each battle will take a maximum of 30 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to decide which four Pokémon they will bring into battle. They will have 60 seconds to use a move or switch Pokémon each turn. Players may battle 10 times a day for a maximum of 30 battles during the entire tournament.
