Chuggaaconroy and others who used YouTube to post walkthroughs and other fair-use videos have had their content taken down by vandals filing false copyright infringement reports. The story, first broken by ZeldaUniverse on July 19, has been an ongoing saga in the gaming community for the past few weeks.

The copyright notice

Claims have been made against legitimate fair-use videos by persons or people unknown, impersonating the copyright owners with the intent of getting some users banned from YouTube. At the time this article went to print, Chuggaaconroy was unavailable to comment. Jason of ZeldaUniverse noted in his post on the topic that "If you’ve noticed this issue on YouTube, we urge you to spread the word about this and get YouTube to unsuspend Chuggaaconroy as well as all the others who have been wrongfully suspended over the last few weeks – we appreciate it!"

ZeldaUniverse is affiliated with Bulbagarden through the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance; Chuggaaconroy has posted numerous Pokémon-related videos on YouTube, and was affiliated with Bulbagarden for a recent "Let's Play".

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
