The fansites PokémonWorld and PokéCharms are once again teaming up with Gamerbase to bring the UK Pokémon Community their fifth tournament!

Moving out of their comfort zone, the two websites will be heading to the Reading branch on February 19, 2011. In a bold move, the rulings will be that of the 2009 Pokémon Video Game Championships with the addition of the previously banned Pokémon Jirachi, Phione, Manaphy and Shaymin (Land Forme Only) and the tournament will be fought with a "Double Elimination" ruling.

The first place prize will be a pre-order of a European copy of "Pokémon Black Version" or "Pokémon White Version". Second Place will win a pre-order of one of the previously mentioned games, while third place will win a £20 HMV voucher. While the Gamerbase and PokémonWorld websites list a DSi XL console as a First Place Prize, at the time of writing this article, this has yet to be confirmed.

As with previous tournaments, registration has to be done on the Gamerbase Website and a £5 entry fee is required to compensate for the cost of the venue and prizes. More information on the tournament can be viewed here.

There are no age divisions or restrictions for the event. The hosts apologise in advance to any parents that bring children along whom get paired with someone much older in the tournament. There will be a somewhat strict timeline that needs to be kept and the number of competitors may not be suited to a tournament with age brackets.
