At {{bp|Pokémon Center (store)|Pokémon Centers}} and Toys R US stores in Japan, there will be {{p|Haunter}} and {{p|Scyther}} trade distribution events. Both Pokémon will be distributed through trade with any Pokémon. Both will be available for distribution from Dec. 21 until Dec. 26. 

Haunter will not be holding an item, so it will evolve into {{p|Gengar}} immediately upon being distributed through the trade. It is level 25, has the OT Christmas, and has the {{bp|Ability}} {{a|Levitate}}. It has the moves {{m4|Psychic|Confuse Ray|Sucker Punch|Shadow Punch}}.

Scyther will be holding the {{bp|Metal Coat}}, so it will evolve into {{p|Scizor}} immediately upon being distributed through the trade. It is level 25, has the OT Christmas, and has its Ability {{a|Technician}}. It has the moves {{m4|Aerial Ace|False Swipe|Agility|Fury Cutter}}. 

There will also be a serial code available for obtaining a {{bp|Lucky Egg}} for players who bring their {{game|Black and White|s}}, {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions 2|Pokémon Black 2 and White 2}}, and {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}} games. The serial code can only be used once, and each code is unique.
