The Holiday 2017 event for Pokémon GO is now live. The event coincides with the release of new Water- and Ice-type Pokémon in the game.
{{ud}} The special boxes have been changed and they now cost the following amounts and feature the following items:
*The Winter Box costs 480 {{bp|PokéCoin}}s and includes 4 Lucky Eggs, 2 Premium Raid Passes and 5 Star Pieces.
*The Great Box costs 780 PokéCoins and includes 2 Super Incubators, 8 Lucky Eggs, 3 Premium Raid Passes and 10 Star Pieces.
*The Ultra Box costs 1680 PokéCoins and includes 6 Super Incubators, 16 Lucky Eggs, 10 Premium Raid Passes and 20 Star Pieces.
These special boxes will be available until January 4, 2018 (1 pm PST).


During the event, festive hat {{p|Pikachu}} appear in the wild, just like last year's event. Additionally, {{type|Ice}} Pokémon appear more often. The end date for the event as a whole has not been announced.
