The Little Cup Wi-Fi tournament has been announced. This tournament will be an international tournament. Players may sign up between midnight UTC on May 14 and 11:59 p.m. UTC on May 21. The competition will run from midnight UTC on May 22 and 11:59 UTC on May 24. There will be 50,000 spots available on a first-come first-serve basis. 1,000 Poké Miles will be available for participants. The rankings will be released on May 29. Players must receive a win or loss to be able to receive the Poké Miles.

Players born in 2000 or later will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in 1999 or earlier will be in the Master Division. Junior Division players may only battle between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time. This will be a Single Battles tournament, and Pokémon that cannot evolve, nor Pokémon that have evolved may be used. Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Black and White versions 2 or Pokémon Black and White cannot be used in this tournament.

Pokémon must be registered in the Battle Box on the PC prior to battling. Pokémon will be set to Level 5 for this competition. Three Pokémon will be chosen for each battle. Eviolite can not be held for this competition. The moves Dragon Rage and Sonic Boom cannot be used in this tournament. Each battle will last a maximum of 10 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to choose which 3 Pokémon they will battle with. Each turn will have a time limit of 30 seconds for players to make a move. Players may battle 15 times a day, for a maximum of 45 battles for the tournament.
