{{p|Mew}} and three Pokémon owned by Trainers from ''{{bp|Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!}}'' will be available at {{OBP|Pokémon Center|store}}s and {{bp|Pokémon Store}}s in Japan for {{bp|Pokémon Sun and Moon}}.

From August 22 to September 3, 2017, players can obtain one of {{bp|Ash's Charizard}}, {{bp|Sorrel}}'s {{p|Lucario}}, and {{OBP|Verity|M20}}'s {{p|Piplup}} at random once per day at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores. Each Pokémon can only be obtained once.

From September 4 to 18, 2017, Mew will be available at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores. This Mew can only be obtained once.

These Pokémon were previously available as part of the {{bp|List of Japanese region serial code event Pokémon distributions in Generation VII#Pokémon Rally 2017 Event Pokémon|Pokémon Rally 2017 Event}} held at {{wp|7-Eleven}} stores in Japan from July 11 to August 28, 2017 (the three Pokémon based on the 20th movie still being available). Players can obtain the Pokémon from this distribution even if they obtained the same Pokémon from the Pokémon Rally 2017 Event. The Pokémon available via the Pokémon Rally 2017 Event have the following attributes:
*Ash's Charizard is {{bp|level}} 40, has the Ability {{a|Blaze}}, and knows the moves {{m4|Flamethrower|Dragon Rage|Slash|Seismic Toss}}.
*Sorrel's Lucario is {{bp|level}} 40, has the Ability {{a|Steadfast}}, and knows the moves {{m4|Aura Sphere|High Jump Kick|Dragon Pulse|Extreme Speed}}.
*Verity's Piplup is {{bp|level}} 30, has the Ability {{a|Torrent}}, and knows the moves {{m4|Hydro Pump|Bubble Beam|Whirlpool|Drill Peck}}.
*Mew is {{bp|level}} 50, has the Ability {{a|Synchronize}}, and knows the moves {{m4|Psychic|Barrier|Metronome|Transform}}.
