According to Anime News Network, the animated special based on the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games will air on Cartoon Network in the United States Sept. 8. The timeslot and running time of the special is still unknown, and little is known about the special itself.

No Mystery Dungeon anime has aired in Japan. Nintendo Power, the official magazine of Nintendo of America, is currently serializing a six-part manga based on the games.
