In the first Australian Nintendo Direct, the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL have been announced to be coming to Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 21, 2014, the same day as Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These systems will not be released in America or Europe in 2014.

White New Nintendo 3DS

The New Nintendo 3DS has a suggested retail price of AU$219.95, and the New Nintendo 3DS XL of AU$249.95. The AC Adapter is not included, but it is the same as used for other systems in the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS families, or can be purchased separately for a suggested retail price of AU$14.95. There are also new charging docks for each of the two sizes, with a suggested retail price of $14.95.

At launch, the New Nintendo 3DS will only be available in White, but 20 interchangeable faceplates will be available. The New Nintendo 3DS XL will be available in Metallic Blue and Black, but its faceplates cannot be changed.

The New Nintendo 3DS can be seen for the first time at the EB Expo 2014 held from Oct. 3 to 5, 2014 in Sydney, but won't be playable. They will first be playable at PAX Australia held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 in Melbourne.

The New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL have previously only been announced for release in Japan.
