A newly-designed {{bp|Pikachu}} balloon will star in the 88th annual {{wp|Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade}}. In an image released by the {{bp|Pokémon Company International}} on Twitter, Pikachu can be seen sporting a festive red and green scarf and holding a miniature Pikachu snowman with a red Santa hat.

This year marks Pikachu's fifteenth straight appearance in the parade and the balloon's second redesign. The balloon originally appeared in 2001 and underwent its first transformation in 2006. 

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast on {{wp|NBC}} stations on Nov. 27, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. in all timezones. The exact time of Pikachu's appearance has not been revealed.
