A preview for ''Best Wishes! season 2'' aired at the end of {{bp|BW079}}, and it has revealed information on the upcoming season.

*In a shipyard located in the eastern part of the {{bp|Unova}} region, {{bp|Cynthia}}, along with {{bp|Ash}}, {{an|Iris}} and {{an|Cilan}}, are in an area with wild {{type|Water}} Pokémon from previous generations, including {{p|Wingull}}, {{p|Wailord}}, {{p|Remoraid}}, {{p|Staryu}} and {{p|Krabby}}.
*{{an|Dawn}} is shown with her unchanged party and is with {{bp|Ash's friends|the gang}}. However, it seems that {{bp|Dawn's Piplup|her Piplup}} and {{bp|Ash's Oshawott}} have a rivalry over the {{bp|legendary Pokémon}} {{p|Meloetta}}. Meanwhile, {{bp|Dawn's Buneary}} walks up to {{bp|Ash's Pikachu|Pikachu}} and still has a crush on him, much to Oshawott's dismay. 
* Additionally, Dawn and Iris are seen running away from an {{p|Onix}} after Iris and her Axew are seen being shocked by a {{p|Magnemite}}.
*A few scenes from the ''World Tournament Junior Cup'', featuring a match between Cynthia, the {{bp|Sinnoh League}} {{bp|Champion}}, battling {{bp|Caitlin}}, a {{bp|Unova}} {{bp|Elite Four}} member, are shown. Cynthia commands her {{bp|Cynthia's Garchomp|Garchomp}} to use {{m|Dragon Rush}} while Caitlin commands her {{p|Gothitelle}} to use an {{type|Electric}} move.
*A battle between the {{type|Dragon}} Pokémon {{p|Dragonite}} and {{p|Hydreigon}} is also featured. 
*The preview ends with Iris feeling a strange vibe from the Dragonite.
