Nintendo of America is running an Instagram competition to win a copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Residents of the US or Canada (except Quebec) can win one of five download codes by uploading an Instagram video about how much they love Pokémon with the necessary hashtags and caption. Videos can be submitted until 10 am on Nov. 21, 2014 PT.
To enter, participants must upload a self-created video to Instagram that explains what they love about the Pokémon video game.
The following caption must be used to be eligible.
"#NintendoContestEntry #PokemonTradeUp My name is <FIRST NAME> and this is my submission for the Pokémon Alpha Ruby/Omega Sapphire “Trade Up” Contest."
Participants may add additional text or hashtags after this text, but the provided caption and hashtags must appear at the start of the caption. It is not necessary to include Nintendo products in the video, and doing so will not improve the chances of winning. The video cannot contain any content that the uploader does not have the legal right to use. The video cannot be more than 100MB in size or 15 seconds in length.
A winner will be selected based on three criteria: spirit (how well the video encompasses your enthusiasm), creativity (how well the video demonstrates creativity), and quality (the overall artistic quality of the video). The potential winner will be notified by direct message on Instagram on or about December 1, 2014.
