The official Japanese Pokémon Web site has announced {{bp|Oak's Letter}}, a key item which allows access to a wild {{p|Shaymin}} in [[bp:Pokémon Platinum Version|Pokémon Platinum]], will be distributed via Wi-Fi to Platinum owners in spring 2009. The item gives players access to the [[bp:Flower Paradise|Flower Paradise]], where a level 30 Shaymin is available for capture.

Serebii.net has reported that if a Platinum player has not already unlocked the {{bp|Glacidea Flower}} key item, this Shaymin will ''not'' trigger the item's availability in the game. However, if the player already owns the item, it will successfully transform Shaymin to its Sky Forme.
