The official Pokémon website has update with a new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire trailer and details about the new Mega Evolutions. A Shiny Beldum holding Metagross's Mega Mega Stone will be available via Nintendo Network starting Nov. 21.

Mega Altaria is Dragon/Fairy and has the Ability Pixilate. It is 1.5 m (4'11") tall and weighs 20.6 kg (45.4 lbs.). It has a big boost in Attack and Special Attack. It also gets a boost in Defense. It is said to have a more beautiful voice than the regular Altaria. It is not timid and is very sociable. Its feathers are much larger to give it more self-protection.

Mega Lopunny is Normal/Fighting and has the Ability Scrappy. It is 1.3 m (4'03") tall and weighs 28.3 kg (62.3 lbs.). Lopunny can now use High Jump Kick. It has a big boost in Attack and also gets a boost in Speed. A strike from its ears is said to to break solid steel plates. It becomes aggressive which can surprise its trainer.

Mega Salamence is Dragon/Flying and has the Ability Aerilate. It is 1.8 m (4'11") tall and weighs 112.6 kg (247.8 lbs.). It has a big boost in Defense. Its wings have fused into one single large wing that looks like a crescent. It slices through anything that gets in its way.

Feebas will evolve into Milotic in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with a high Beauty condition from Pokéblocks and its leveled up. Contest Idol Lucia has been given the English name Lisia. She will be giving the player clothes to wear in Pokémon Contest Spectaculars. Her Altaria's name is Ali.

There are five Contest Spectacular categories in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness. The four ranks of Contests are the same as they were in Generation III: Normal, Super, Hyper, and Master. The first round is the Introduction Round, in which the judges judge the player's Pokémon based on its appearance. The more Pokéblocks fed to the Pokémon, the better its condition will be for the Introduction Round.

The second round of Contests is the Talent Round. Just like in Generation III, the Pokémon moves have a different condition that they associate with and there are combos with two different moves from the same condition type. When the Pokémon reaches full audience excitement, the next move executed will have a special appearance. They will also be able to Mega Evolve once they reach full audience excitement. Special bonuses are earned for moves with full excitement and Mega Evolution before using a move.

Cosplay Pikachu is a special individual Pikachu that first appears in Contests. She has a black heart-shape on her tail. After the player first participates in a Contest, she will be able to join the player's team. This is the only Pikachu that can wear the cosplay costumes. Players can take a picture of their Pokémon participating in a Contest. When the player participates in multiple Contests, fans start appearing in the Contest Hall and will give the player items.

Zigzagoon, Whismur, Makuhita (with Geodude), and Numel are shown to be in Horde Encounters. Players will also be able to battle Trainers in five-versus-one Horde Battles, including Team Magma and Team Aqua. Poochyena are shown to be in a Team Magma Horde Battle.
