Pikachu will return to the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in balloon form thanks to The Pokémon Company International on Thursday, November 25th, which is Thanksgiving in the United States. The annual event will mark the tenth consecutive year that Pikachu will be visiting the annual holiday tradition with the second incarnation of the character, chasing a huge Poké Ball balloon on the parade route in Manhattan with it's cheeks lighting up. From 2001 through 2005, a "Flying Pikachu" balloon was displayed annually in the event, and that balloon was retired at the "Party of the Decade" Tenth Anniversary event at Bryant Park in August of 2006.

The parade will be telecast on NBC (except in the Houston and Detroit markets) at 9am in all time zones in the USA.
