An indication of the impending game release, Pokédex 3D has received its final English language update as of August 31. As a result, Cobalion, Terrakion, Victini, Virizion, Reshiram, and Zekrom can be downloaded without needing to scan their AR markers first, which were only available through special means previously. It also unlocks all Pokémon which the player hasn't unlocked, including alternate Formes and those that had to be traded for.

As with in Japan, players will be given time to finish their collections, but as of October 1, Pokédex 3D will be removed from the eStore, most likely to be replaced with the Pokédex 3D Pro.
