The definitive edition of the Second Generation players will be able to experience the games on a new level. The virtual release is offering the GS Ball to players who buy the game. This is also the first Pokémon game to offer a female protagonist, and the {{bp|Battle Tower}}. This generation also marks the introduction of Dark and Steel typing's, day/night cycles, and Eggs.
