Back in 2010 when {{game|Black and White|s}} were released on the {{bp|Nintendo DS}}, the weekly Japanese variety show {{bp|Pokémon Sunday}} was replaced with {{bp|Pokémon Smash}}, which featured a near identical show format and line-up of hosts. Now that we are due to begin a new generation of Pokémon again with the October 12 worldwide launch of {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}}, it has been revealed that in honor of that, {{bp|Pocket Monsters: The Origin}} and TV Tokyo's 50th anniversary, the Pokémon Smash show will be receiving a new re-branding. From Oct. 6, the show will be known as '''Pokémon Get☆TV'''.
