In an event which featured Pokémon Trading Card Game players from 28 countries and which awarded over $100,000 worth of scholarships, the Pokémon TCG World Championship ended last weekend in San Diego, California, USA. Announced was a list of the winners of the event, presumably among the most skilled Pokémon TCG players on the planet.

First place winners were Curran Hill of North Carolina, Stuart Benson of Washington state, and Jeremy Maron of Pennsylvania. Taking home second prize were Geoffrey Sauk, also of Pennsylvania, Takashi Yoneda of Japan, and Ross Cawthon, also of Washington state. Third place were Michael Gonzalez of California, Daniel Richard of Michigan, and Pablo Mezo Alonso of Mexico. Finally, fourth place was awarded to Jefre Robert of Belgium, Andrew Knaack, also of California, and Ken Yukihiro, also of Japan.
