The Pokémon Trading Card Game video game for Game Boy Color will be available on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Europe from July 10, 2014. It will cost €4.99/£4.49.

Boxart for original release

While the original game was released for the Game Boy Color, it was also playable on the original Game Boy with some features disabled. The game was originally released in Europe on December 15, 2000. The game contains all the cards from the physical card game's Base Set, Jungle, and Fossil expansions, except for Base Set Electrode and Fossil Ditto; the game also includes many exclusive cards, some of which were later printed as physical cards but many still remain exclusive.

This is the first Pokémon game released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in any region.

Update:  The Pokémon Trading Card Game video game will also be available on the Australian 3DS Virtual Console on July 11, 2014 for $6.50.
