Pokémon Shuffle has received a patch that brings the game up to v1.1.7. This patch adds the special stage "Great Challenge" (titled "Rayquaza's Ascension" in the notice), which allows players to catch Rayquaza.

This special stage will be available from March 30 to April 20, 2015. The first time the player completes the stage, they will receive one Jewel.

Rayquaza has the Skill Dragon Talon, and starts with 70 attack power. Rayquaza has an empty spot for a Mega Stone, despite Mega Evolving without a Mega Stone in the games; it cannot currently Mega Evolve in the game.
