Rita Ora, most known for her pop songs and her recent appearance in Fifty Shades Freed, will join the cast of the upcoming live-action film Detective Pikachu; however, her role has not been announced.

Rob Letterman is directing the movie, which began filming in January in London. Ryan Reynolds will be voicing Detective Pikachu. Justice Smith will play the male lead, and Kathryn Newton, will play the female lead Lucy, and Ken Watanabe will play Detective Yoshida. Recently, Bill Nighy, Chris Geere, and Suki Waterhouse were confirmed to be in the cast as well.

The film is set to debut in cinemas on May 10, 2019.
