Today, Satoru Iwata, the current President and CEO of Nintendo made a few announcements on the Japanese Nintendo website relating to the Nintendo 3DS and the upcoming Wii U. Although a lot of his comments were directed towards the 3DS' sales (As this quarter was the first time the company reported a loss since they started publishing their fiscal records), Satoru Iwata did make a brief comment about how a new Pokémon game might be released in Spring, and that it might be related to the upcoming PokéPark 2: Beyond the World.

During the brief reference to the new game, Iwata did not clarify which console it will be for, however, he did state that the Wii U will not be released before June next year.
