CoroCoro Comics has revealed that there will be three presents for seeing the {{bp|M16|16th movie}} in Japan. A {{Shiny}} {{p|Genesect}} event has been announced for Japan. Shiny Genesect will be level 100, and have the {{bp|Original Trainer|OT}} of 「えいがかん」 ''Cinema''. The Shiny Genesect has moves that it will use in the movie: {{m|ExtremeSpeed}}, {{m|Blaze Kick}}, and {{m|Shift Gear}}, which are moves it normally cannot learn. It will hold a {{bp|Choice Scarf}} and have the Ability {{a|Download}}. It is available for the {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions|Pokémon Black and White}} and {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions 2|Pokémon Black 2 and White 2}} games. 

The {{p|Mewtwo}} event that was [[CoroCoro reveals Mewtwo to be distributed to promote sixteenth movie|announced previously]] will be available from June 15 until Sept. 1 for those who pre-ordered tickets for the movie. It will be level 100, and have the moves {{m4|Psystrike|Ice Beam|Heal Pulse|Hurricane}}. It will hold a {{bp|Custap Berry}} and have the {{bp|Wishing Ribbon}}. It will have its {{bp|Hidden Ability}} {{a|Unnerve}}, and will be in a {{bp|Cherish Ball}}. It is available for the {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions|Pokémon Black and White}} and {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions 2|Pokémon Black 2 and White 2}} games. It will be distributed at {{bp|Pokémon Center (store)|Pokémon Center stores}} via infared. 

A special Red Genesect {{bp|Pokémon Tretta}} will be given away to the first three million children of middle-school age or lower who watch the movie. Red Genesect's attack is {{m|X-Scissor}}. It is the first differently-colored Tretta.
